Meet The Team
Ken Butcher, DVM

Ken is from Thousand Oaks, California. He served 8 years in the Navy as a Submarine Torpedoman deployed in the Pacific, and on the NSW/NSO Scout Team in Los Angeles. After separating and while completing his bachelors he worked part-time as a kennel assistant, where he found the love and fulfillment that comes with working with animals, motivating him to become a veterinarian. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from American Military University, his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, and completed his clinical year at Lincoln Memorial University. Outside of work, Dr. Ken enjoys cooking, working out, and wrestling his wife, kids, and many animals for a spot on the couch.Â

Jessy Butcher, DVM, MS

Jessy was born and raised in Pasadena, MD. She went to WVU for her Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness Management and Rural Development with minors in both Equine Management and Animal Science. After finishing that degree she worked with a variety of horse disciplines before heading off to Ross University for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree where she met her husband, Ken. They lived in Texas for a few years but life has brought Jessy and her growing family back to Maryland. Jessy started Roaming Vet Mobile Ultrasound LLC to help local hospitals fulfill their diagnostic needs and is so excited to branch the Roaming Vet name into urgent care where another gap in the community can be filled. You can find Jessy behind the scenes of the RVUC operation.
